so yeah i'll remember 2009 and all the friends i made, the friendships i lost and those gained, and my lollipop on 24th december!
What i learnt from my life is to believe in myself and people disappoint, but God won't. Feeling sorry for oneself is a part and parcel in our lives and well, one point or another we do that. But if we don't pick up the pieces and move on, what else can we do.
Somethow or another, we have to be okay. Maybe tomorrow, the week after, a month later, we'll reach the stage of acceptance. So why not let go today and feel the joy of living tomorrow, realizing the beauty of life and strive for perfection.
There has been lots of regrets in my fifteen years worth of life and definitely, i would like to right the wrongs of my past. But as the word dictates, it is the past and not the present. There's so much out there for me to see, feel, touch and experience. and hell yes, i'm afraid. no, i'm terrified. But i'll put myself out there for the sake of grabbing a whiff of the scent on the outside of the sheltered walls. But of 'course some things are just plain stupid to try haha, and albeit the grass is always greener on the other side, remembering our roots is plausibly the most crucial value in every individual's life.
And remembering God. Because today is the day Jesus was sent into this world and without him, we'd be simply nothing. Secular lifestyles in this modernised world are common, and if we live like them, where is the difference in our lives as christians? and instead of being special, you're just a plain normal person walking down the street with your earplugs firmly stuck in and hands shoved roughly down into your pockets. And no knowledge of God whatsoever.
yeah that's the difference in our lives. Knowing God is not enough, making applicable changes in your life by fulfilling God's promises by loving, is what that makes you stand out from the secular world.
